Palác Karlín

Palác Karlín is an office, originally functionalist building in Prague 8-Karlín, located on the corner of Thámova and Křižíkova streets. It is a reconstructed functionalist former main building of the headquarters of the ČKD Dukla company. The author of the complete reconstruction of the building, completed in 1999, was the Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill, who is also behind the reconstruction of the surrounding buildings (e.g. Corso Karlín). The building is directly adjoined to the west by the newly built administrative and commercial centre Corso Karlín (including the Corso IIa buildings) and other buildings that fall under the newly built Karlin Hall complex, which is being built on the site of the defunct industrial complex of the former ČKD Dukla engineering plant. The building offers a total of 14,454 m2 of office space and 1,442 m2 of retail space.
